Question Calling All Slammed CL Owners: How Do You Get Car On Alignment Rack?

Aside from obviously going to a shop that specializes in lowered cars, how can would my local Acura dealer get my car up on an alignment rack to do an alignment. I know it's tough with a slammed car and I'm in fact raising it today so that should help some.

I have heard 2x4 boards, I've heard of using the stock car jack since it's so small to lift the car the first 6-8" and then using a regular jack, lol.

use boards to create more slope for you. also aluminum ramps for putting ATVs and such in pickup beds works.

behold my paint skills. you might need something for a mid support depending on how long you make them. some 4' long should do the trick.

As mentioned before, use pieces of wood to change the approach angle. I don't have a problem with the alignment rack, but I need to drive all 4 wheels onto wood to get the car on to the lift.

Thats exactly what I had to do. Only one shop in my town has that kind of lift, everyone else didnt want to take to chance of scratching my front lip. 2x4's work

I had no problem getting re-aligned at Tire Choice when I replaced my tires. I'm on Eibachs btw.

Here in Miami we have a couple shops that specialize in dropped cars. Miami chassis and tire kingdom performance center. They both have alignment lifts that in the ground instead of being on top of the ground like the one you pictured

you can also put a block of wood under the lift ramps. that is what i do. it will change the angle of the ramps.

I never thought of the 2x4 thing. Neither did the sales dick. I hate alignment shops and the idiots that work there

if the alignment guy didn't think of putting down 2x4's to get your car on the rack, would you trust them to align your lowered car??

how about just going to a place that has a newer alignment rack? look for hunters.. thats all i use. they are designed w/ an in-ground type jack to bring the car up to the lasers. http://www.hunter.com/hawkeye/index.htm
