Big Thanks to cltypeslow for the Racing Harts!

So I bought cltypeslow's 19 inch Racing Hart 3 piece C2's. Love the rims. Thought I was going to wait until the spring to get the new tires mounted then put them on the car but although I got the rims delivered yesterday, I couldn't wait to put them on so I got the new tires mounted today and swapped out my stock tires.

I have CT springs (the black ones) on the car now. Looked great lowered with my stock 17's but of course with larger wheels comes a slightly higher ride. Now I'm sitting at least an inch above the tires all the way around. I hate wheel gap. Not looking to tuck them but do want it to be flush all the way around.

So my question is, should I go with coilovers or swap out to a more agressive spring setup? If I do coilovers, I have time because I snowboard so I won't have these on the car for more than another week so I can scoot up to Baker and Stevens Pass. I've spent already in the two months since I bought her, close to 3K and with a family and christmas coming up I am going to have to wait until mid Jan to spend anything else on her.

Yes, she's my obsession and my mistress at least that's what the wife says

Yes car is dirty but I swear it's been raining almost a month in Seattle. Sorry for the awkward angel pics too. Didn't feel like moving the wife's car out of the garage to get the best shot.

Yea I'll have to take some when I get to discount tire and get the right length open lugs so I can put the face plates on and have proper room. Debating a Nikon D3000 for the wife (christmas) or coilovers lol.

OT, but don't get a D3000. The D40 is a better camera for less $$.

nice to see they made it up there safely! (i'll let cltypeslow know, him and i are roommates)
when ever it stops raining take the chance to polish them up. that diamond cut face shines like none other.

I sent him a text a couple of days ago. It honestly won't stop raining up here for a couple of months but the plan is to take them to get the rash off the rims and have them professionally polished up by the same shop then they'll be like new and even sexier. I'll probably ride them through the weekend and take them back off because it's snowboarding time.

Really the D40 is better? My sister is majoring in photography and she was saying that I should get the D3000 because it's a great starter DLSR. My wife will never open the manual so it will wind up being just me using it. But good to know. I'll have to do some research between the two camera's. I'm probably going to drive down to Portland so I can get it tax free.

This is what they look like with my CT Springs on the car. I was pretty surprised to see how much these wheels raised the car up. With my stock 17's on, I had hardly any wheel gap. Now I'm like more aggressive springs or coilovers

Suggestions on a more aggressive spring setup? I haven't used coilovers in probably 7 years and as a daily driver, not sure if I can live with the stiff ride. At least with springs it's something I can do with a 62 mile round trip commute for work.

Rims look nice, coilovers > springs

You can get a softer setup for coils so it's not stiff, like Tein Basic or Tein SS

I have the Tein SS-P's they're my 3rd set of coils, and I can't live without them

The D40 is a better camera and you can get it for around $175 brand new if you look hard enough. Glad I was able to sell mine for $400. Putting it towards either a Canon 50D or Nikon D90.
