I have them, I had toyo T1-Ss before them, I'll be going back to the toyos as soon as these run out. In comparison, they have more road noise, and aren't as grippy. 235/35/19s

Thanks for the replies. I hope I will be able to get good traction at the track.
Have either of you been to the track with these tires?

I have, and I pulled a 14.527 on them(best time NA). Once they get warmed up, they are good in terms of traction. I just liked the Toyos better.

I do have them too. They were excellent the first 20kmiles. I have on them some 28kmiles. They used to grip on dry pavement hard. They do not squeak at all. On broken pavement, on the ramps, they used to jump on you a bit. But still controllable.
They hold on really well. Now, I can spin them easily. If it is wet or cold, they would spin. They hydroplane easily too!
It is time to replace mine. My next tires are Yokohama ES100.

Thanks Nashua, I feel a little better now. I just keep hearing how disappointed people are & it is discouraging. Tires aren't cheap & it sucks to make a bad choice because you are stuck with them until they wear out.

i've got the 555's. 15k miles on them, and still looking good. i regularily rotate them so they will get even wear, which is what i have noticed so far. great grip in almost all conditions. i have the 225/40-18.

i have nitto 555s as well - been riding on them for a couple months now...really sticky on a warm dry day. Still pretty good in wet conditions, but maybe not the best. Overall, I'm really pleased with them

i have them now... my opinion, they SUCK compared to my old Falken FK451's....
the falkens were stickier in the dry and better in the rain than the nitto's.
i couldn't make the falken's squeal if i wanted to. the way i drive the nitto's cry like little girls.
granted the falkens wore fast as fuck, but i love dem tires...

They are great tires when you 1st get them...they grip well but after they get worn they get really loud and their rain traction isnt the best.
overall i prefer yokohama tires...on a budget i would go with ES100

I just got them and am in Florida, too...They have about 4k miles on them and they are really good on dry pavement. I drive a lot, and I can say wet traction is not so good from a stop if you give it moderate gas. I do have mods though, so a bit more power. Anyway, no hydroplaning at all except going 85mph or so in the rain and finding a pot hole or bad spot on the highway, but VSA takes care of that (and RainX for Florida weather anyway). I actually find them to be quieter than the stocks and about on par with my older 18's (I have 225/40/18's)...I find the dry traction to be superior and very, very sticky even with 4k miles...
I would definitely get these tires again--especially since they were less than $130 a piece!!!

The tires are in VA, so I can't get a picture for you. If it's really a must I can try to get someone to do it.

r10apple, It sounds like you are satisfied with them right now with 4k miles. Please let me know if anything changes as you put on more miles. Thanks for the feedback.

I had 245/45/17 Nitto 555 back in the day and pulled low 1.9s consistently at the track.
I still run them up front, but use Nitto 555R Drag Radials on the street and ET Streets for the track now.

I still only find wet traction problems when heavy on the throttle from a stop on wet roads. They do not seem to grip nearly as well as the stockers or Maxxis I had before. At speed though, I have no hydroplaning or sliding problems unless I get all over it under 50mph...

I have 555's up front and 555R's out back on my Mustang. Thye are OK in the rain, but not great. However, my Mustang is a different animal compared to a CL, and the R's are not known for rain traction at all. Mine have worn well, and performed better than expected at the road course yesterday. They do lose a bit of traction when it's cold out, but they are still very predictible.
