18x8.5, +45. what should i do?

hey all,

so i can get a shweet deal on 18x8.5 chromes with a +45 offset. however, i've read the past forums, and some say ppl are sayin 'no f*in way this fits' and other ppl are saying 'this won't rub at all.' i wanna put an h&r sport drop on it...

so can you guys please advise? i don't mind cutting a part of the inner fender if it's just a harmless procedure, maybe someone can tell me how to do this.

thx

well i think 235 series tires are for a 8.5 ich wide tire. I use to run 18x7.5 witha 235 and rubbed slightly on really big bumps but i also rolled my fenders if you get then professional rolled and not that big of a drop like mine (eibach) u might b e good...i might be wrong on this so lets see what others say

With a drop or no drop, you're going to rub, period. Say goodbye to the U-turning radius also. Get it professionally rolled and you MAY be good. IMHO, just get the right sized wheels and don't worry about all that stuff.

it will def rub on dips or U-turns. plus, they stick out like a lowrider.

You'd be ok with a 8" rim & that offset, but 8.5 will rub. If you could get that size in a +50 that would work.

Sell the wheels, they'll stick out beyond the body of the car. 8.5" is too wide.

What part of the tire rubs when making u-turns? I'm assuming it's not the inside of the tire since it's only a +45mm offset.
