What octane do you run?
hey guys, My 2001 CLS takes min.91 octane fuel according to the owners manual.What do you all run and what about 89 octane?With 10:5-1 compression do we have to run full high test fuel?
93 & nothing else.
This has come up a ton. I'm closing it.
Do some searching. You can use 87-93 but only 93 will get you the full performance of the car. If you use a lower grade gas the ECU will de-tune your car. Your actually get worse gas mileage from 87-89 then 91-93.
Any car with a high compression needs higher octane gas.
