I used to get 400 miles to a tank, I think that changed around the time I changed my spark plugs so I will have to look into that, and I cant give an accurate MPG because I'm in Canada ( our gallon is different from the American one by a bit)

lol...with 90% hwy @ 70-80 got me 360...that was the most I ever got...grated, I got the car used @ 135000...so I don't know how the previous owner treated it...should be changing out sparks and all the fluids...and then see what happens...

I'm getting around 17-19 as of now.

Ya I would be in km's but I brought my car back from the states, and let me tell you crazy( but in celcius) 2 weeks ago we broke a record at 34 last night it snowed 4 inches and got down to -10 by Saturday it's supposed to be back around +15, by the sounds of it we both have crazy climates!

93.2F to 14F degrees ;too hot in that you sweat just standing there then too cold cause you be all shriveled up and proably like 100% humidity where we get like 20% humidity on average
yeah we were only 70 at the begining of the month with a low of 18 on the 10th, but we have had a very mild summer with alot of rain
btw: luckily they did a duel scale on the speedo (mph and kph) couple of years ago i help a friend switch out a kph speedo to mph on like a 92 integra (still a mechanical speedo)
crazy climates... yeah!!! shorts and t shirt during the day with pants and a jacket at night. annoying...

Lol. Yup. I love this car for the gas mileage, and how it brings a smile to my face every time I decide to get on it.

Maybe as an experiment I should take it easy on a tank.

Maybe

hahaha just maybe, the only problem with that experiment is that it wouldn't be fun, just cheaper haha.

Seriously though, I work for a major computer company and I work at basically every place that has a contract with them, from Baltimore to NC, and Roanoke to Virginia Beach.

Its not the gas being used up, its the mileage being racked up. I average about 40k miles a year.

Bastards with your low mileage CLs.

When I got my CL in August of 08 I thought it was low mileage; it only had 56k on it.

Now Im about to break 100k

don't have a cl but just bought a 03 tl-s with 100k last month (have maintence records back to 7K miles, so i know it's history)(i've personally worked on the car since 2005)(it was a customer's car), so your milage isn't crazy
the car will easily get in to the 250K plus range as long you take care of it (except for the p.o.s. auto tranny if you had an auto)

What are you going to do to deal with the compression issues? Do you know what's causing it?

Full rebuild. I want a 3.5l anyway.

Possibly the rings, as I burn oil (almost a quart every 5k )

Lols.

Im down on power and my valves are ticking. I need to replace the clutch then too so I figured while the engine is out why not just build it?

just saying that's not much but it's a good excuse to do the 3.5 stroker (might just be that you need a valve adjust)
btw: why not the 3.6 stroker (3.7 crank with your pistons)
