Trunk torsion springs.

Trunk torsion springs.
I've been reading some of the really old threads regarding trunk spoiler installation. Several mention a heavier duty set of the torsion springs, while others just mention tightening up the existing ones. What does anyone know about this? I just bought an OEM spoiler and would like to know how to adjust the stock springs, or the part number for the HD springs (if they even exist). Perhaps there are some heavier duty after market parts I could use. The springs currently on my car are extremely weak (trunk lid currently has a hard time staying up with no spoiler). I can still get what I assume are the standard duty springs through Acura, but if something better is out there I would like to look into that. On a side note I can still get an OEM spoiler wiring harness. Does anyone have a diagram for routing from the spoiler to the 3rd brake light? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

About a wiring diagram for wiring your 3rd brake like, all I did was take the wire coming out of the spoiler, find a way to route it down the trunk lid into the car
( I went into the trunk lid till I go to the lifting arm and went down the arm). Once it is in the top of the trunk, just unplug the original 3rd brake light and plug your wires into the plug. That is if you want to only use 1 brake light. If you want to use both, just tie into the wires instead.

I saw in the Camry forums on Toyota Nation that some people were using a EMPD tie down cord to increase the tension on their bars. They made it so that the trunk lid would open up all the way. It would be interesting to see if this works. If I end up picking up one of these rubber cords, I'll give it a shot on the CL and let you guys know what I find out.

Yea, thats what I did. I actually ended up putting 4 sheet metal screws in it after it came off again with 2 screws and JB Weld.
