timing belt

hey fellas quick question.....i have a 01 CL-S with 120K and i went to the dealer to ask what major work would be needed. The parts guy told me i would need my timing belt changed which makes sense but he said it woud be about $1300 but he do it for me about $1000 parts and labor. Is he cutting me a break or is this another dealer rip off?

Unfortunately, that's about the going rate for most stealerships that I've come across. If that includes the 105K service (belts, water pump, pulleys, plugs, fluids, etc), it's not the worst I've seen. If it's strictly timing belt/water pump then they're raping you. Shop around the independent shops, too.
