When ever im slowly moving without giving the car any gas i can hear a small ticking, and when i give it gas the ticking gradually increases, whats up? some guy posted he had a ticking and it was the purge valve. car is under warranty should i take it in?

 

I have the same issue when the engine is hot. The dealership told me that it's normal and could be the injectors. I asked them if they could do a valve clearance check and they said that the V6 engines rarely need to have thier clearance checked it's mostly the DOHC 4Cyl engines. Don't know if that makes sense to you guys.

 

ive also seen a lot of posts where if the valve is replaced your gas mileage will go up and because gas is nearly 2.50 a gallon it would help a little bit.
