Thumping sensation..?
My 2001 CL is giving me a thumping sensation after driving approx.15 minutes.I'm thinking a wheel bearing going bad or a bad tire.I put 4 new michelins on about 3 months ago..Any ideas would be appreciated..Also,the car has 145,000 miles on it..

Is the noise while your rolling on a smooth road ?
sounds like a bad tire.
Bad wheel bearing will make growling humming sounds for a while before that would get to the point where you would get enough play to be making a thumping noise.
The wheel would want to lock up every once in while if it was that bad.
I don't think a wheel bearing at all.

Whats up with RDX owners?

Bring it back to where you got the tires and have them rebalance and inspect them. While on the balance machine, they should be able to check for runout.
Id definitely suspect the tires/wheels first.
Is it speed dependent?

When arriving home today..I smelled hot brake linings,so I replaced the LR brake caliper and problem solved..! Never would have suspected that with out smelling the hot brakes..
