TCS Light? Trouble Starting - Need Help

no idea what the hell is going on...

this started about two weeks ago and the problem is that when i start my car...it flutters like its not getting enough gas or something and the TCS light comes on. After i punch the gas while parked it picks up...WTF!!

Any idea what this could be? Misfire or bad gas?

help needed - thanx

when this first happenned the TCS and Check Engine light came on. The codes said something about my 4th gear and 4th cylinder.

the code for my 4th gear didn't make since because this didn't happen when i was driving. I was just trying to start my car. The misfire in the 4th cylinder - maybe but the mechanic couldn't really comment more on this becuase the problem wasn't consistent.

I mentioned to him that i had been driving on low fuel for a while and when i put gas in my car is when the problem started. He said it could be something in the bottom of the tank (grud) or air that can sometimes work its way in the system and cause problems.

what do you think? what causes misfires? bad spark plugs? i only have 69K on my car.
