Hi there,

Upshifts and downshifts feel stickey in tiptronic mode. I've tried spraying a bit of WD-40 down there to loosen things up a bit, but to no avail it still feels like crap.

Any ideas?

Is this a recent issue and does it happen when its cold outside?

 

If it's that bad, I'd take the center console apart and clean it all out down there. It's probably got Coke or something spilled in there from a previous owner if you aren't the 1st one.

Do you know how to take the console apart? I don't have a shop manual for this car! Should probably pick one up!

^^ Not off hand but if you do a search in 2nd Gen for console removal or something similar, I've read it's really simple.

 

ha im having the same exact problem and it is so difficult to shift out of park sometimes...and the sports shift is slow like it does not go back up that quick when i pull it down to downshift...
