Stereo/Cigg Lighter Malfunction PLEASE HELP
Stereo/Cigg Lighter Malfunction PLEASE HELP
Open to any suggestions before taking it in. I was driving in my 3.2 CL s trying to connect my phone charger and I was having difficulty establishing connection so I toyed with the charger while in the electric socket, did not notice any charging to the indicator light turning on, so I took it out and placed it back in, and then my stereo/cd player which was currently playing turned off.
I took the charger out and tried multiple times to turn on the stereo, no luck. On top of that both cigg lighter/electrict ports (dashboard and glove compartment) are out.
Is there a remedy in which I can solve my self in an inexpensive manner? perhaps look into the fuse box options? thanks for any suggestions.

I'm havin the same problem
I'm having the same problem, I have an 02... I was outta lighters and tried to light a cigg but the damn thing has a plastic protector so ciggarrette lighter doesnt work, I stuck my knife in to break off the plastic protector got a spark and lost power to it and the stock headunit.
First I thought it was a fuse, checked under the steering wheel fuses, under the hood... nothing, then i took off allll my plastic pieces around it to get to the back of the headunit and nothing..... So i'm gettinga new headunit and I'm gonna head to the acura dealer and ask what about it

If it is the same problem as mine was, the connector came off the back of the lighter. The nut that holds the lighter socket in was loose. The nut touched the blades as the connector came off shorting the circuit and blowing fuse #9 in the interior passenger side fuse block. Before you replace the fuse, you might want to pop out the ODBCII connector cover and re-install the nut and connector.
