My car seems to have some starting problem. Like it won't start sometimes, it will crank and you hear the "ta ta ta" noise... but the engine won't start. If you let it sit for like 5 mins, then start again, it will start normal. What could be wrong with it?

I checked the battery, and it was good. All my interior lights / radio turn on when I turn key.

 

Sounds very similar to what happened to me. When the problem happens, is it hot outside? If so, it's probably you efi relay.

 

It could be a few things. Have you checked your alternator, that could be on its way out.

 

it happened both in hot and cold days.. but lately its been worse and worse as in before it only happen once a month, now its like couple times a week.

Same thing happened to me. It was because of the winter fuel addatives. I had to get a new feul regulator and computer.

 

Has anyone found a fix for this problem. I am now having the same difficulty. 03 cls 6speed 65,000 miles. Acura dealer has replaced battery, & starter. Problem persists. HELP!
