SRS Light On !!

The SRS light on the dash has come on in my '01 Cl Type S. Dealer replaced drivers side seat belt on a warranty or recall issue a few years back.

I have turned it off buy jumping a fuse in the fuse box but it always comes back on. Could it be the AirBag system or seatbelt again? Any suggestions please!

Seat belts and buckles will always be covered under factory warranty with Acuras older than 2006, so that should be handy for you to know. But, keep in mind that OPDS(Occupant Position Detection System) is also a common fail point and you'll have to pay the dealer diagnosis to figure what the problem is. If it's a seat belt or buckle, the diag fee will be waived.

Maybe in the us... My seat buckle went 3 years ago and I had to pay for it..

When it was bad tho as soon as u cliped in the buckle the Srs would trip so.. If that's the case then it's the buckle

Oooh, sorry about that. Yeah, I can't speak for Canada or other countries. Also, I think if a vehicle has a rebuilt/restored title, the seat belts and buckles won't be covered.

I also have a 2001 CL type S, 154,000 miles and the SRS light came on this week. I had a sensor or seat belt replaced under warranty when the car was a few years old. When you say this is always covered under warranty, is there a time and miles limit?

I don't know about the buckle, but the actual belt is definitely under warranty for the life of the car. I read it in the literature we received in the car. Can't remember if it was in the manual or the warranty booklet.

I have a 01 cls and It had a srs light come on. Brought it to the dealer for a diagnose. They said it was a faulty seat belt buckle and fix it under warranty. Apparently seat belts, buckles, air bags have a life time warranty, at least in the USA. Thats what the dealer told me.

Same thing happed to my 03 accord.

I don't think the airbags have a lifetime warranty. But I know the seat belts and buckles are covered. But most of the airbags have mass recall on them anyways which is different than the basic warranty.
