Sorry Ballast Q again

When you guys say Ballast problem?
are we looking at this OEM part to order?
33144-S3M-A01 INVERTER UNIT, HID SYSTEM

oh,, my driver side headlight isn't working..
and I went acura dealer to inspect, they said the Ballast and igniter units is bad.
so I wonder if that's the part I am looking for when I order from OEMPARTSACURA.com

Yep, thats the thing! Btw I guess inverters are under extended warranty? Arent they? Did you pay $350 for it... jeeeez, I could have sell you used one for a 100

whats the life expectancy on these things? ive got 5 years on mine now, should i be ready to purchase new ones?

There is no life expectancy set for these things. It should be a lifetime - for cars I would say 10 years. That technology is fairly new first cars had hids installed in 98 and acuras - I believe that 99 rl had it first.

instead of getting the factory ballast,can u use after market HID setup? its way cheaper than the factory one

yeah, after seeing how they install my ballast..
I think aftermarket should work very very well. except that size or something like that.
by the way, I paid for 80 dollars for the labor.
OEM + LABOR = 450
ACURA gave me the price for 800.

damn,, 350...
