Slight squeek

I've been noticing this squeek lately and i can't pin point where it's coming from. I've had my girl put her ear around the car as i'm driving and she thinks it's coming from the front of the car. It almost sounds like something metal is loose and is vibrating/squeeking. I put the car up and checked my suspension, sway bars and strut bars, everything seems tight.
I think it started a while after i did my coilovers, but i checked all four and they seem fine. ?????????

I was listening again today (which is hard while driving) and it may be coming from under the steering wheel/pedal area. Driving me crazy. It's like a squeeky chirp. Any ideas?

I don't think it's a mount, because it's not dependent on whether i'm on the gas or not. It honestly sounds like something metal that's loose, and it squeaks/chirps when the car goes over a bump. Driving me nuts.

Did you put new strut mounts with that coilover? Try a bit of wd40 under top mount of both struts ( between spring and top mount ) it won't fix your problem but at least we eliminate something.

Yea, over certain bumps I notice it as well. For some reason though if I give it alittle bit of gas I get the squeak though.

So i think this is the area where mine is coming from. Had my girl listen around, which was hilarious b/c it looked like i was getting road head for a sec. It must be somewhere under the steering wheel...i'll try and find it tomorrow.

lol squeaks!! a drivers pet peeve. Especially on a nice car like a CL. Only one I have is the sunroof chirp when you go over medium fresh bumps, I cleaned the sunroof lip/seal and then it started.. LOL don't clean it.. The dirt particles keep it from being squeaky CLEAN. I think I'm going to NANO wax that moonroof lip on the car so the ceiling won't be chirping. Also have a SLIGHT one where the 3rd brake light touches the glass (on certain Base lines), but they'll be taken care of pronto like my other car when i had it. A ford probe has about 10 different squeaks at different driving points/conditions (like when i got mine) took me a few months but surely enough I stopped EVERY SINGLE ONE. Just takes some wicked hearing and PERSISTENCE, oh and some McGuyver skillz wouldn't hurt. I.E shuvving paper towel between things or super glueing something(s) together.

Whatever it takes, Squeak B Gone

LOL +1 on NOT cleaning the rubber seal of the sunroof. I just used some baby powder (talc) to quiet it down.

Well the noise is definitely inside the car, somewhere under the steering wheel, maybe behind the console area. I've given up on it, i looked everywhere on the weekend. Have to drive with the music up.

Well, turns out the squeek is coming from the top hat on my drivers side suspension. I push down on the car and can hear the little squeak. It really sounded like it was coming from inside the car. I don't want to have to take apart the suspension again. Bah!
