36171-P8E-A01 SOLENOID ASSY. $54.30
15825-P8A-A01 FILTER ASSY. $13.36

buy mine, both for $50, i took it out after we installed it, so it's brand new. I never installed the filter tho...

my CEL flashes on the freeway when i stepped on the gas today, It jerks and it felt like there was no power from 4500-6000rpm, but on street with regular driving it feels ok. tomorrow we're going to check for codes, fuel pump and if we have enough time, check the valves for bent, replace timing belt and water pump...

Hey SIRSIG as requested here are the pages from the book to check if your timing belt jumped a tooth, look at 22 and 23. Slipped timing is a possibility, but have you put a oil pressure gauge on yet, I did not see where you spoke to your actual oil pressure, also it is still possible that the pins that engage the VTec lobes may not be engauging on all cylinders and would also give you thie affect you are describing, it is not that hard to pull the valve covers and rocker assemblies and get them checked/cleaned, and at the same time you can use a hieght gauge to check your valves, if one is bent it will be lower than the others.

THANKS NVA-AV6! wow! you even open an account just to answer my problem and it's your first post! welcome to AZine. There's a bunch of nice people here, like 4 of them... lol j/k. Anyway, my oil pressure remains constant to 100 on normal/wot everytime on my gauge and how can i checked the pins on vtec lobes if they're engaging?

i posted my last dyno on the first page.

on the dyno you can see, something wrong between the midrange. It wasn't tuned tho, just runs. one thing i noticed just this past few days was, there's a "squeeking sound of belt" on upgear specially on 2nd at topend... is it possible for the sc tensioner to go bad too?

blue line is my old dyno and yellow line is my new...

i'll check on the timing belt when i get a chance, i'll keep you guys posted...

Well, I am kinda doubting it being a issue with the timing, you would not be getting the kinda dynos you are, the problem would be completely across the band. I am still kinda suspecting may the VTec pins, but there is no earsy way to check them without see-thru valve covers, humm, lexan maybe, anyway I am not familure with your vehicle, what engine mods do you have?

I agree, a lot of the stuff Siggy is looking at as you said effects things across the board or at least more the higher you rev.

VTEC pins seems like an interesting idea, but its only bothering him before VTEC so I think its something electrical that should be checked out, by someone who has a labtop that with a 16pin connector or how ever many pins those Emanage cables have.

SC 9psi, HOPE IC, S2000 inj, I/H/E/, gutted cat, etc... or you can check out my cardomain for more. My problem started 3 months ago, from slight hesitation to this (jerking) and now it seems like there is no power at 4500-5500rpm then jumps like there's a turbo spooling after 6000rpm.

Thus the e-manage tend to diminished it map on due time? Can you tell me more about the vtec pins? when you said "see-thru" valve cover meaning i have to open the cover and look while cams are running and that's not possible with the cover on right?

help me i'm going nuts

Yeah, I am starting to think that we need to look more at a possible electrical, or even sensor issue.

Well, weather you are going nuts, or are already nuts is a different debate , LOL. You wouldn't happen to have a datalog of your sensors during one of these runs?

replying at 4AM (cali time) tells it all, lol. That's all we got, we did a couple of runs but no tuning made. Which sensors are we talking?

Shit, I wish we had a complete short test of his car. Just like the DAS computer diagnostic tools that we use at mercedes.

Crank,cam,rpm,o2,vtec,map, injector pulse and oil pressure would be nice. Between them we could see what the ECU is seeing and what it is doing to try to run it right.

He had headers. exhaust and a stock intake, he thought he had 260hp I asked him if it was to the crank and he said no.. 260whp, so I told him, we'll se about that

I'll be camping this weekend so I won't make it to Fontana, plus im poor right now and its going to be even hotter this Saturday.

Glad you figured it out. I bet that's a load off your mind.

So the E-Manage is know for loosing it's settings? Is it just a matter of reloading the MAP?

I know Smitty had some trouble with the E-Manage being a little volatile with it's memory.

aaahhhh those sleepless nights

yeah, Shawn said it's rare to see E-manage not holding up the map, but i guess J32A2 ECU's seeing that differently. The voltage for some reason jumped and changed the values instead of zero it's reading 2V underload @ 5psi or something and that make's it lean (misfire?) so when 5psi comes it abrupt the power. not sure how to elimate this kind of problem in the future hopefully it's isollated...

basically, if you can get the map from your tuner, you can import that to your E-manage again, if ever it's acting up. But ofcourse if you added mods it has to be tune again...Unfortunely in my case I have a different cable port on my laptop and i don't have the upgraded version of the Greedy E-manage that's why i went to the tuner...

Thanks to you and many others for blazing the FI trail with this engine and working out the kinks, helping the rest of us who hope to one day do the same
This ECU seems to just be a PIA almost anyway you look at it...

Yep, those damn MAP sensors, I wonder if you could add a missing link and leave it at that.

I think the sensor was reading past 2.9V @5psi + so past 5psi that ECU would actually detect boost and pull timing like crazy down to 0deg. Basically at one point Siggy had 160tq at the hubs around 3500rpm.
