My car would not go into reverse and was making a rattling noise upon acceleration (bad trans). I took the car to a shop and they replaced the transmission but are waiting on a shift interlock solenoid to arrive tomm. I took it for a test drive today and I noticed the manual triptronic (+/-) would not activate. I slid it over and the gear indicator on the dash also would not light. Does the shift interlock solenoid have anything to do with this?
