Screeching while in reverse...

I have a 2001 Acura CL Type S. It has just started making this horrible screeching noise when I am in reverse. Turning the steering wheel and/or applying the brakes seems to make the noise worse. Any ideas? Thanks. Becca.

wow. i don't exactly what kind of screeching noise we're talking about here but the worsening of it on applying brakes sounds familiar. my 240SX did that and it turned out to be my rotors. how and why? i don't know exactly but i am not saying this is the case with your car. hopefully someone can chime in with better advice. in the meantime, try performing a search using different combinations of word groups (don't make them too long now).
