Rpms rising randomly, help

My 2003 Acura cl 3.2 type s automatic rises rpms while I'm driving it randomly. The weird thing is that I can drive the car around decently with no fluctuation in rpms when in 4th gear. The problem arises when it goes into 5th gear. Before I go to a mechanic I want to get some feedback. I am the third owner and am not sure if the previous owners have changed the Trans fluid. Thank you for reading, give some feedback!

So the torque converter is unlocking and locking randomly? First thing I would do is to change out the fluid.

Is the trans slipping as in flares or is it an idle issue? You need to be more specific and be detail oriented.
