03 3.2CLS 186k on 4th trany. One replaced around 70k on dealer dime. next replaced 130k my dime. had CEL and TCS lights come and got the torque converter code... pretty evident the trans is dead but not confirmed yet.

My question. Do I mess with replacing/rebuilding, with a TL/ oddy trans or just junk the car?

If the rest of the car functions normally, Id put an Ody/TL tranny into it and drive it until it dies.

You didn't say a thing about the condition of the rest of the car, and that is what's going to determine its resale value, its junk value is dam near nothing as far as you're concerned. Its the junkyard that will make money off the car, not you.

Put another transmission in the car and sell it. A clean one running right should get you ten grand or so. You'll have 3 tied up in the transmission putting seven in your pocket. You junk it and you'll be lucky to get two grand for it, in fact you'll be lucky to get half that for it. So the answer is obvious.
