Removing window tint...EASY!

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...t-messy,-chea/

This shop by my house was having a sale on tint so I though it would be the perfect time to even out my windows. I had 40% on the back and 30% on the fronts. I never liked the way it looked and it always bothered me.

I wanted to remove the fronts myself to save some cash. Otherwise the shop would have charged me to do it and then it wouldnt be a sale would it!

I followed the instructions in the above link. I was set for a whole day of swearing and guilt. It took me two hours....it was so easy, I couldn't believe it.

Just wanted to share the info with you guys!!

the steaming method is useful if you are doing a window with defroster like the rear. the tint shop i use to work at just peeled away the tint and used soapy water in a spray bottle. sprayed the window to keep it wet and took a blade and scraped the window clean. took under 2 min per window.

Yep that's the real quick & easy way to do it. I've removed tint on windows(non defrost) many times that way.
HD or lowes sells a nice metal retractable blade made to scrape wall paper that works very well with some soapy water to scape off a window.
