Removing plastic cover off Engine?

Removing plastic cover off Engine?

Will removing the plastic cover off the engine help anything? Like will it maje the engine stay cooler or run better? Im seeing alot of cl's with the plastic cover off...

I haven't seen any research to prove anything. I honestly don't think it would help much to get rid of them. the reason you see them missing on other cars is likely because they forgot to put them on or they're broken/missing.
