Removing "ACURA" Lettering

Hey guys, I'm new here and I have a question about removing the "ACURA" lettering on the back of my '03 CL-S. Can I do this? My dad and I were wondering if there would maybe be any holes where the letters were or not and I'm curious if anyone has done this before and if they have any tips. Thanks for any help!

Personally, I'm a big fan of Crest Pro Health's line of dental products. Their floss is phenomenal and with the name pro-glide, it really does glide between your teeth to clean up plaque build up in between the gums!
Amazon Amazon

9/10 dentists recommend it.

No it doesn't matter...

Good! it's a good product and my dentist has praised me after I started flossing more with it. That and a Sonicare toothbrush.

I used a hair dryer to heat up the glue and the letter came right off but you still will have some residue left over

Just double sided tape holds it all on, like everyone was saying. Only bad thing is, the paint underneath will be shinier--the newest CL out there is now 14 years old.

I also have a question about removing acura lettering/logo. If I remove the Acura logo on the trunk will there be 2 holes there? I also plan on putting it back on after I take it off because the gold on the logo is peeling and its green color underneath it so I want to plasti dip it black

Now thats a good question! I'm under the impression ALL emblems on the CL were held on by 3M double sided tape with no holes. BUT--the 97 to 99 CL Acura emblem DID have posts that went into holes in the decklid!

the Acura "A" or caliper is held in by pins. so you'll have two holes through the trunk. I've never taken off the caliper emblem...but i'm assuming if you can find the backing to the pins, you'll be able to pop it right back in

or come up with another way to hold the pins in place.
i'm sure if you look at some google pictures, "acura emblem removal" or even "Honda H removal" it will show you how the plastic pins operate

A buddy of mine did this as well a month ago on a 03 CL he picked up from an estate sale. It took about 30 minutes total
