I'm going crazy trying to remove my rearview mirror on my 2002 CL. The plastic socket in the rear of the mirror cracked leaving it hanging down but I cannot figure out how to remove and replace! There is a metal tang that I thought would release it but it didnt work. Any ideas?

 

try to do a search i know it has been covered before but just a heads up its bitch and theres a good chance you will crack your glass should just take that one to the stealership

 

you could probably take it to an automotive glass shop. i know acouple of shops that can do that kind of suff around here

 

I read a past forum article about removing a screw to remove the rearview mirror. There is nothing there but a metal tang that I cannot budge. Hope that someone has a CL that went through this....
