rear brake problems

Replaced my rear pads yesterday on a 03 m/t type-s. 2 problems I encountered: The outside pads were worn all the way down and the inside pads looked like they had never been applied. This was on both sides. Any thoughts on what could cause this?
2nd: Took car out last night and brakes were awful mushy... pedal all the way to the floor. Did not get better after several times of pumping and applying brakes for 15 minutes. I'm assuming brakes need to be bled? I live in a small town so I am hoping to pick up necessary supplies on my lunch break in the big city. Can you let me know what I need in order to bleed rear brakes assuming that is the necessary fix? Thanks!

Bleeding the breaks is time consuming and if you dont know what you are doing....dont do it alone! Let a shop or knowledgeable person do it for you. The brakes on your car are the last thing that you want to play around with bro! And it sounds like your rear calipers are freezing/sticking

Yep I agree not something to mess around with. I'm not completely ignorant on vehicle work just haven't been around foreign jobbers mostly worked on older chevy's. Just wondering if there was anything different or special on these acura's. Any thoughts on what would cause the calipers to be froze? Just seems wierd it was on both sides. Caliper rebuild most likely remedy?

^ I would think so as far as the calipers....my driverside one froze around 2 years ago. Just remember to bleed the brakes corner to corner, if you search, there is a D.I.Y for the process. Any other questions....holler!

Thank you ..good find . the problem was left front flex cable . For some reason it was broken and all the liquid got out . I ordered a new part but there is another problem..most of new flex cables listed online are not dirrect fit . OEM flex cable has a moving part wich can be attached to another non moving part . So in that case it is secure to turn the wheel without worry that flex cable may be damaged . in non OEM parts this thing can not be moved My mecanic spent to much time in order to check and fix everything . So only OEM part can be used .
