I had a battery jump box in the trunk and couldn't get to it.

history- Took my car to the dealer in Jan with a dead battery, they replaced it. Yesterday this 2mo old battery was dead. Dealer wants $125 to diagnose it. No thanks, they didn't fix it the first time, obviously something else is wrong? 83k miles on the car.

 

is there a ski pass in your back seat?

i went through my ski pass and pulled on the trunk release cable.
be careful not to stretch the cable too much

 

Thanks I forgot there was a switch in the back seat pass thru, but not too convenient. Never had a dead battery before. It's dead one morning and starts the next. could be alternator or something. I'm not a mechanic at all.

 

Could be loose connections, check the battery cables if your battery tests out good.

 

wait! you bought it in January and now it's dead and they dont want to check it and or replace it

horrible stealership!

 

I was washing my car yesterday and I left music playing a bit loud and same thing happened. I could not open up my trunk to get jumper cables out of it. I looked through the ski pass with flashlight but couldn't see anything. I know it should be there. It happened to me like three times already i had to use my friends cables to jump start the car.

 

Theres two handles in the trunk.

One is on the trunk lid itself near the latch and there is another on the decklid. Its a black t-handle pull and its small, so kind of hard to see.
