Passenger seat doesnt auto move back

when i push it into the upright position when i'm in the drivers seat. When pushing it up from the passengers side, it move back automatically like it should. Why is that? is there something that senses pressure from the right side of the seat? or is mine just buggy??

That's freaking wierd, I just noticed that a couple of hours ago. I just pulled in the garage while I was still in the driver seat and had to get something from behind the passenger seat and it didn't move. I don't know what to tell you mine did the same thing.

The seat only move automatically when the door is open on that side. Like if u want it to move on the passenger side you have to have th passenger door open

i agree with bored, the seat will only move to the original if the passenger door is open when the seat is pushed forward.

I feel you on that one, man. I never let anyone else touch my car!

BoreD is right. The pass seat only moves back if you've opened the pass. door before moving the seat.

I agree fully! I brought my car to the dealership for tranny service (89,000 mi and starting to slip fiercely ), and then they washed it... Ever since then, my driver's door window squeaks while going up! The only way it doesn't, is if I pull in on the top edge of the window. Anyone else have that problem?

My car threw me for a loop the first time I put my passenger seat back from the driver's seat. I then noticed that sometimes when you shut the door while the seat is moving back, it stops automatically. To remedy it, I just open the door and do it again, with no problems like some that were described.
