Bought a non-running 01CL-S and replaced the engine with a 75k J32A2(s type) engine. The oil light stays on. Verified oil pressure at 80+psi(mech. guage)at idle cold. Replaced sending unit with one from original engine, verified sending unit opens circuit with 60psi air applied before installing, has approx 40-50 ohms prior to pressure. Did a resistence test on on sending unit wire from it's connector to 14pin connector near firewall, measured no additional resistance. Ran engine with remote sending unit hooked to signal wire, a ground, and 60psi air pressure and light did not go out. So are there any other sensors(like vtec) commoned to the oil light. This is why I'm curious as to the voltage applied to the sending unit, if that could indicate a pcm problem.
