NO Heat in the CL

Hey guys,
01 CL-S Auto with 144k
I turned up the heat the other night because it gets cold here in upstate NY and noticed i dont have heat. I turn it upto 90 and air comes out the vents but its cool outside air. If i turn the AC on then it gets much colder as it should.
The motor was replaced in this car so i checked to see if the coolant line was hooked up and i see a line going into the firewall. Any ideas?

might be a stuck or disconnected heater control valve (be in engine compartment along the firewallwith one of the heater hoses going through it) (would not allow coolant to flow to the heater core)

Is there only one hose going into the heater core? I didnt see anything thats disconnected. Car doesnt heat up or anything, operates just like normal. Just no hot air for the cabin, hmm

Aladdin,
Did you ever find out the fix for the no heat issue? I'm having the same problem. Anything you can provide would be a great help.

Thanks!!

its on the firewall, passenger side. You will see a cable that comes out the firewall into the coolant hose. This cable moving back and forth is what regulates the amount of coolant. Just jiggle it and it should work after that. Hope that explains it.
