Need to Replace HID Bulb

I've got a 2001 Acura CL and need to replace the xenon bulb on the passenger side. I think the housing for the bulb is a big black thing with a star type screwdriver head. Is that what I need to take off to change the bulb? Thanks

Yes, you need to remove that screw to remove the cover. You can get the bit at auto parts stores.

make sure that it is your bulb that is out before you buy one because most places wont allow returns on electrical items sometimes its the OEM ballast that burns out and if you go to a dealership for that part it will cost you about $400

You can also use a small blade screwdriver to open it up. Just wedge it between 2 of the points and turn... That's what us cheapskates do!

I used a small drill bit with my electric drill. Wedged it between the center point and the edge.
