Memory Seats: Need Resetting Help

Hey guys,

A while back my car was in the shop to get repaired for a rear-end accident and when I got the car back, the memory seats doesn't work anymore.
I tried to do a search on "memory +seats, seat, repair, fix" and it took me to all the homepage threads which was weird.
Can someone please help me out with this? I tried looking in the owners manual but couldn't find anything on how to reset it.

theres a red dot? you mean the red memo button?

try checking your fuses. there are some fuses for the memory seats too.
you adjust the seat to how you want it then press the red "memo" button. The 2 green buttons for memory1 and memory 2 should start blinking, asking you what you want to set that position as.

i dont think the ones for the memory seats are under the hood. there are 2 more fuse boxes. one on the driver's side and on the passenger side. you'll have to open the door to access them. pull open the panel and there is a list on the inside of the panel telling you what each fuse is for.

Have you set the position for the memory seating since you got the car back?

Alot of body shops disconnect the battery. In doing so your memory seats lose the settings. Just set it again. Hit the red button, then his the 1 or the 2.

Nope didn't replace the drivers door. The buttons just does not respond AT ALL. Is there like a combination that I can push to reset the memory seats? I don't even know if that's possible. Just like how we reset the CEL by holding the reset+whatever button on the dash and turning the key.

I dont have a scanner at my house so bear with me.

Displaying Diagnostic Trouble Code:

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Press are three buttons at the same time.
3. Turn ignition to ON (II) and wait at least 1 second, then release the buttons.
4. After one second, the position button indicators will blink to show the DTC.

*If there is no DTC stored, the indicators blink only once.

*If there is a DTC stored, the first digit is indicated by the number of long (1 second) blinks, and the second is idicated by the number of short (.26 second) blinks. There will be a 3 second break between each DTC if there are multiple codes.

To exit DTC indication, turn ignition off.

Post back what you see. You'll see 3 long blinks, then either 1, 2, 3, or 7 quick blinks.

if the fuse is blown, then you'll need a new one of the same amp rating. you'll have to pull it out to see if its blown. you hold it to the light and see if the arc inside the fuse is disconnected.
the fuse boxes that the memory seats are either in the driver's side or passengers side.

You run that test on the memory seat switch. It will tell you if there is an issue with any other components, be it the speed sensor wiring, the power seat controller or the power mirror controller.

hmm very nice. it would be interesting to see what the OP comes up with. but if its a power issue (IE. blown fuse) then he wont get any lights to go off. but its worth a shot.

Yea, but if it isnt a blown fuse the lights wont go on if he isnt in that mode anyway, since he doesnt have the memory set.
