Jumpy Gas Pedal

My '01 CL Base car has a very sensitive gas Pedal. When I go from a stop, It is very hard to prevent a lurching quick start. I own a TLs and the gas pedal is very smooth from a start. It is like a geometry issue with the gas cable? Mounts are fine, car has only 42k. What can be done?

Is it hard to push or does it actually feel like its stuck on the initial push?

2 possible things I can think of.

1.) The throttle cable adjustment nut isn't right

2.) The throttle body plate is sticking

It is hard on the initial push. I had the TLs with a sticking Throttle plate after the tranny replacement, but this does not feel like a sticking throttle plate.

push the pedal with the engine off and see if you can feel anything wrong. If its sticky, too tight or too loose.
