The Passenger seat on my 01 CLs is jammed and the seat will not move forward or backward. When applying the controls the motor engages but the seat won't move. The same for the back portion of the seat.

Any suggestions?? I had to replace the drivers side seat over the summer as the motors were burned out. I hate to utilize the services of the local stealership...

 

Check the gears. Theyre most likely jammed. Un-jam them and then grease them.

 

take out the seat and check the gears, worst case the motor is done....

Buy a new one for about 130 and install it or find a used one for about 65-80

 

If the motor is engaging then the motor should be ok, most likely the gears. Thats what happen to my car gears were stuck and had to loosen the gears up and regreased them and had no problem since.
