I Broke My Differential...

i went to the strip last thursday, burn out my tires for a few sec, went to the light feathered it to 2500 RPM. on green i took off. on top of 2nd gear i heard a loud pop and my car won't move. it sucks...

car is in repair shop right now. I'm just wondering, if this had happened to other 6speeders too? Do we have a weak LSD? any aftermarket or upgraded one that you know of? need your input, thanks.

maybe it was defective, i cant imagine you breaking it based on your latest dyno numbers. im pretty sure 6speeders w/ turbos were pushing twice that amount.

They were. May be you can get it fixed under warranty?
But seriously, good luck with that. Let us know what happens

update:03/25/06

had my car in 5150autosports for 3 weeks, they didn't even touched it. i had them towed it to a different shop (Sparks) and asked for a gran . so, i went to CCautotuners had them check it and the following images are gruesome...

DRIVE AXLE

RIGHT SIDE

LEFT SIDE

LEFT SIDE GOT FU**ED UP! GOT TWISTED LIKE CRAZY!

the shop said that was NOT the OEM axle, it is a generic axle made in China cheap and weak.(no offence to chinese pips...). It was a bitch to take them out. No wonder the shop who did my CL-S swap (5150) didn't even bother to touch it! I could not believe how people live their lives everyday knowing they fucked somebody up and put them in danger just to save some $$$ by putting a cheap ass drive axle. I hope this is the only cheap part they put on my car....

it does not even look like that end was heat treated, also OEM axles are not the strong themselves, try contacting raxles they have the best axles that i have seen for replacement, a lot of dealers around their area buy axles form them.
