how to open cl tail lights??

Does anyone know how to open the acura cl tail lights, I am working on a project but can't open them. I tried searching and everything but couldn't find nothing. If anyone has any idea, or has done it, please let me know.

i can't remember if there is a seam, but if there is, treat them as you would the headlights for opening them up.

well, i think I can help u.
if all u want to do is 2 open it , u can use a beveled chisel and a medium sized Hammer/mallet .
Hope that makes sense..............

I'm not sure if i've seen anyone do it, but yea, the oven method would probably be the best bet. or a heat gun.

our taillights are sealed permanently, UNLIKE our headlights. So they will not come apart using heat.

in order to do a custom project like his, you WILL need two sets.

the only way to open them up is to use a dremel, break and trim out the lens on one set, and the housing on the other one.

tl side, ppl that were interested in doing a led tail light conversion opened theirs up with heat and they reused them

Well I all ready did led conversion on the tl and i am just trying to do CLs but can't get them open. their not my set so I can't dremel them, but thnks for your help

dont even try to open tails i did and i almost fucked up. plastic is gonna broke trust me. i did change the bulb for the led ones and thats it but then ur control light gonna go on but u can always turn it off by taking out the bulb
