But I still dont know how to get the shifter noob off
its an 01 CLS-A

it says in the TL forum just twist it but it doesnt seem to move and I dont want to break it

So I got it off with a pair of channel locks and a rag It was on there supper hard

Now I am In the process of doing the coolest shifter mod EVER

Yeah...I thought I was going to break it but it eventually comes off with twisting.

I was taking off the leather because I was twisting so hard!

be careful when putting the knobs back on, if you twist them on too far you'll break the thread and it'll just spin around uncontrollably


....ya ive broken a knob in my time

did you break the silver retension ring when you just started twisting it off? That lieetle silver ring on the bottom needs to be popped off first before you people start saying "just twist the damn thing" lol
