Ive got an 01 w/50k on it now but several thousand mi ago this annoying rattling noise started deep within the dash when I reach approx 70mph and over and stops when under 70, wtf?! Any ideas? Im sure when I go to the dealrer he'll have no idea or wont be able to "duplicate" it.

 

Ok ok, I posted the question before doing a search, however most of the same question goes unanswered to this day. Has anyone found the cause recently?

 

I have the same problem. I have a manual 6sp and it occurs mainly when I take off in second from a rolling stop. I have sprayed quite a bit of armorall down where the windshield meets the dash and it seems to have gone away. Mind is only bad when it is cold outside. Good luck and let me know if it helps.

 

I have one in my 03 6 Speed, That I think I finally located.

I had my friend drive my car while I sat in the passenger seat.

It appears that the rattleing is comming from the passenger side airbag.
I now have to make another appointment at the dealer to fix it.

 

Are we all talking about the same noise?

I have a 03 cl-p w/ 40k.

Sometimes when I turn on my car, I hear this clicking noise from the dash. It goes away in a few minutes. Really loud CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK.......... This started happening 5 times within the past 1/2 yr. ANY IDEAS????????????????????

 

I went to the dealer on Thursday and he confirmed that it was the Passenger front airbag.

The quote on the statement is that they took the airbag out and had it sitting on the rear seat when they went out for a test drive and heard the rattling coming from the back seat.

They have ordered a replacement.

 

Sorry to ressurect a 3 yr old post but my 01 just started doing this @ key on. loud click click click about 15 times, then stops. Anyone know what this is?
