today when i turn my car on the maint req'd light started flashing, it flashed 10 time before turning off what would it mean i got 61,200 miles on my 03 cl-s and i turned the car off then on again and same thing so yeah

 

its basically telling you to change your oil thats your oil light. you can reset it i forget how i think its turn your car on hold the reset and select button until the light turns off? i think thats what it is. there's a write up in the faqs.

 

I'm guessing you haven't had the car for more 3000 miles. On my CL it seems like the maintence light comes on about every 3000 miles. Its just to remind you to change the oil and check for other services. If you have the owners manual this is all in there. I belive you have to hold down the reset and select button while car is in the ON position then start the car while still holding both buttons, hold for 10 seconds and the light will be reset and you shouldnt see it for another 3000 or so miles. Look up maint light in the back of owners manual for exact instructions.

 

Either that, or he has had it longer than 3k miles, but whoever serviced his car last time, didn't reset the maint. indicator.... I know mine didn't. Now every time I get in my car after I get the oil changed, I just automatically reset it myself just in case.

 

lol i bet people get all worried when that light stick on...

when it happened to me i knew it was a reminder of some sort, but it still pissed me off i had a light on on my dash. I hate lights on the dash omg.

thankfully its in the manual how to reset.. and it's a sticky too

 

oh ok good i got the car when it had about 59,000 and i changed the oil and switched to fully synthetic mobil 1 about 1,000 mile ago but just wanted to make sure that it wasnt anything big well thank you

Your light comes on every 7500. Its preset for that and cant be changed.
