Hate those OEM pop-screws/plastic rivets?

I found a good alternative to those crappy and flimsy OEM pop-screws.

Lowes' has 1/4" Push-In Nylon Rivets for about $1 a pair (cheaper than what oem goes for). They are thicker plastic, easier to remove and are better at securing what they are attatched too. The 1/4" can fit into just about every location with little effort. I've used the 1/2" ones in a few of the locations where they were breaking, but they are pretty hard to squeeze in there, so I wouldn't recommend them, unless there is a problem area.

Just thought I'd share, its a common problem that is often over looked.

Yeah, no problem. Those expensive POS kept breaking on me, so I found something better for cheaper.

Good find. I bought a few of these today to replace the broken rivets in my fender liner in the front. THey really do hold better than the stock ones. I might just replace all the rivets in both fenders in the front.

Also check ebay. I sometimes see them for cheap there. Gotta buy in bulk though.

If you get a few, post up their name on the package and what area of the store they are found. The minion at my local Lowes looked at me as if I were on 'crack' when I tried to explain what I was looking.

they dont have them at home depot, only lowes.

i think they're located near the screws, bolts and fasteners. Thats what these are called: nylon fasteners or push-in rivets.
