got some ticking noise during acceleration...

I've just got my oil changed and front brakes replaced yesterday afternoon.
Car ran great the rest of the day. this morning on my way to work i heard a ticking noise upon acceleration. I first thought it was the POS altima next to me but i heard it while pulling into the parking garage. I only hear it when im on the gas. Any ideas of what it can be? there are no lights on by the way.

that happens to me sometimes, but its intermittent and will go away after re-applying pressure to the gas or switch gears

I had a ticking/hissing noise that was an exhaust leak on my previous car and it only made noise when you gas it cause of the exhaust pressure. Regardless of the rpm... all has to do with throttle.

If it's what i think it is it's a tiny exhaust leak. get er up on the hoist and check it out?

u said u had service done, so MAYBE amongst the labor or w/e something happened to cause it. Or it's just FLUKE timing. which ironically does happen.

but give that idea a whirl.. u never know

hope that's ur fix!! lemme know how she goes...

I'm assuming a bad flex pipe may do the same thing (but I have no idea how they wear or how to diagnose that one)

so peep the update...

been getting the run around from my personal mechanic so i still haven't had her looked at. i was reluctant to drive her to work this morning but had no choice. on my way to work i noticed that my ac console was out. none of the buttons light up nor work!!! WTF is going on? and the ticking noise seems to be getting a little louder...or it's the paranoia setting in. any ideas as to why this now has occured?? Any thoughts would be appreciated...
