Wink Gas for 03 CL type s

Anyone know or have any experience with mixing the gas...eg say if you mix an 89 with a 93 octane... result 91.? I also can get non ethanol gas...can you use an 89 vs a 91 if no ethanol? Tks!

always use 91 or higher in your car unless it is an emergency/or out in the boonies and it is not availabe
also 91+ with or without ethanol, doesn't matter

and you will proably see better fuel mileage (and power)with no ethanol in the gas , so i would go for that one

ethanol is cheaper for the oil companys to produce then striaght gas which is partly the reason they like it so much

and as far as mixing you should get 91 when mixing 89 and 93 together if done in a perfect 50/50 ratio

might be a pain in the ass to fill it up every time like that to just save a few cents every tankful, but it's your time, and not mine

been using 89 all summer with no problem. Got 93 few times and ended up getting lower mpg than 89. I use fuel injection cleaner every 3-4 tanks.

I always use 93 without a dout, I like to think it is way better for the engine and that I get better power.

hey if u have a CLS use 91 and up. reason being is that the cls has hotter pistons meaning higher compression. and also has high lift cams in comparison to the regular cl motor. 89 octane can cause detonation if u have enough carbon build up in the cylinders. remember 93 is harder to burn than 89. 89 has a better chance of being lit by a glowing piece of carbon deposit in the cylinder that 93. Detonation is bad!!!!!!!!!!!!. don't take the chance.
