fuel cutting at 5k after installed intake

fuel cutting at 5k after installed intake

i have just installed a cold air intake into my 2001 Cl non type s and now it fuel cuts at 5k. i connected all the holes and can not figure out why it is fuel cutting.

Are you hitting the rev limiter ?That will cut fuel

i didn't touch anything else. i put the hoses back where it came off.

he means its cutting fuel off at 5k rpm. rev lim is way higher then 5k.

sounds like classic limp mode, any CELs?

Yes. The ECU cuts fuel at 5k in park. Drive it around, you'll have the full rpm range.

but yeah the ecu cuts fuel in park, even neutral idk, it might be based off the speed sensor idk

anyway you really should not be trying to rev it that high just sitting there
