Fix for Rev Hang?

So I've had my CL-S6 for about 6 weeks now, and I'm liking it. The one thing I still am not thrilled with though, is the rev hang that happens when shifting.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about, this is when you are accelerating, you lift your foot off the gas pedal, and the engine will continue to spin at its current rpm (lets say 3k) for a couple seconds, before dropping off (eventually down to idle).

In some cars its an easy fix; I have a friend with an 8th gen civic who got a cobb access port, and there's just a map that eliminates it. For our car, there are no plug-and-play options that I'm aware of. I've also read that someone tried replacing the CL-S flywheel with a light weight flywheel... but this probably wouldn't help much because its the software that's causing the rev-hang, not the weight of the flywheel.

Thoughts on fixing this? Has anyone made changes that work?

I used to have this same problem. Now that I have an aftermarket throttle body my iacv is not hooked up and the rev hang is completely gone. So I believe it is directly correlated to the iacv.

I believe you are describing the dual mass flywheel at work.

I no longer have the OEM flywheel, but I do have the IACV hooked up, and I dont get a rev hang.

Yes normal function of the dual mass flywheel.
You can bypass the clutch dampener & it will lesson it. DIY thread is in the FAQ.
