Failure to start

Hey sorry if there's another one of these but my 2001 CL Type S wont start and I have no idea why, it has power I turn the key to ON wait a few seconds for it to do its thing then I turn the key all the way. When I do this it sputters and sounds like it wants to start but it won't turn all the way over. I've had my dad hook up our cars like he was giving me a jump and it worked before but now its not working at all so any and all advice would be mucho appreciated

You may have a bad battery. Sometimes a battery may have 10-12 volts and everything will look OK, but it may not have the AMPS to crank the engine. Starting the engine really takes a lot of power

get the battery tested. if it is more than 5 years old, replace it. Does the car start fine with a jump from another car?
