ebrake doesnt hold car

I put my ebrake on while I was on a hill yesterday with the car in neutral so that it would be resting on the ebrake and not the auto tranny. well when I left go of the regular brake the car started to roll backwards. if I do the same thing in my tsx the car doesnt move. has anyone else had this problem before.

im assuming you had it pushed down all the way to the floor...mine did that for a while then i got the rear brakes serviced and it stopped. maybe the drum mechanism is worn down.

You probably just need to adjust the parking brake.

mine does the same. i guess it's just worn down from accidentally driving with the brake on.

Just need to tighten the tension on the ebrake line. They tend to slacken over time.
