door dings
Start by parking way away from others next to a curb. It isn't fool proof, but it does help a lot.
There was a guy around here, he would remove ever door ding on a single body panel for $80, that is what I did with a few nasty ones in my door, worked very well and for not that much $.

If the metal isn't creased, heat it up with with a hair dryer for a minute or two then hit the ding with some cold butane (one of those cans of compressed air (airduster, costs like 5-10 bucks a can at any electronics store)... turn it upside down), it'll pop right back to place. But again, only if the metal isn't creased...
Just read up on it some more and the can of compressed air you use... Make sure its CO2 when upside down and not just compressed air. The ones that are just compressed air arent as cold... 15 degrees F while the ones that use liquid carbon dioxide (or Carbon Tetrachloride or Carbon Tetraflouroethane) is -110 degrees F. Works best on a hot sunny day.
