Do you need to twist rear caliper pistons to retract them?

I've searched but haven't found any definitive answer.

On a 03 CL S do I need to twist the pistons to retract them or are they the same as the fronts when installing new pads? I'm trying to avoid aggravation by gathering as much info I can and having the tools ahead of time.

You do not have to turn em, however it is a good idea to do so - just to change position of the piston seal
