Coolant Leak

Hi all,
A while ago when I was doing the 105k, I noticed a buildup of blue gel-y stuff in the water pump, so I scraped out all of it, and put everything back together. A closer look at the rest of the system revealed some blue crusty stuff on the back side of the motor, where the heater core lines tap in. It seems, it is leaking where the housing bolts to the head (or, at least I think it's the head.) Has anyone experienced this and had to fix it? Preferably at home, quickly, and for little cost?

The leak is VERY slow (maybe 1/2 cup in the last month), and not worrying me yet, but I wanted to see if there was a plan of action. If the fix is easier than I fear, I will take care of it immediately, but if it requires removing the head or intake, obviously I'll continue as is for a bit longer.

Here is a picture I borrowed from someone's ebay auction to illustrate what I am talking about because my camera is not available. The coolant goop/crust runs out where the housing that is partially secured by that bolt mates to the rear head.

Thanks for any input,
Chris

Nobody? I really hate to be a trailblazer on stuff like this...

What about people who have had the head off? Can anyone confirm that it does mount to the head? Or can anyone help me identify what the other piece is called so I can start looking at parts lists or diagrams? I have a PDF manual, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for in there.
